Dejan Glavnik cycling around the world
On April 22nd, 2006, I’m starting my ride around
the world. Accompanied only by my bicycle, without
any escort. I’ll travel across all continents
and visit 80 countries in 5 years. The way is
130.000 km long; it will lead on the roads, cart-tracks,
over the hill and dale, the deserts and swamps,
trough the snow, sunshine, rain and wind…I’m
prepared to any experience possible on our planet.
The goal of my project is to be a first human
to pass trough so many countries in such a limited
time alone, without an escort, riding on a bicycle,
and that will with no doubt be an achievement worth
to fit in the Guinness book of records. My intention
is to introduce Slovenia to the world and the world
to Slovenia. I’ll be active in public media all
of the time (live broadcasting – radio, TV reports,
newspaper articles), thus the promotion of sponsors
and their products will be assured. Afterwards
I’m planning to publish a book and introduce a
film, based on my tour.
That why I’m asking you to sponsor my project
and help me to accomplish my goal. We Slovenes
are already known by the extreme achievements.
The costs of the project are 60.000 EUR.
Because of the extend of expenses (equipment,
visas, transfers, accommodation, food, insurances…)
